Broga Hill, Semenyih

Last night, Sharon & I bought dinner for Yen Lin's birthday and we decided on Seoul Palace, USJ19. And of course, for a week... Yen Lin and I were contemplating whether we should proceed with the Broga Hill hiking since it's been raining every night. Finally, yesterday morning, I decided, "Yes... just go."

With Sharon, Yen Lin & Helen from ex-Star Cruises colleagues. The drive to Kajang/Semenyih via LDP & SILK is easy; all the way straight. I studied the map to the hotel a little on Google Map so I sensed Helen took a wrong turn into Kajang town instead of another route that can by-passed it. As we were waiting at a traffic light and Sate Kajang Haji Samuri was right in front of us, I told Yen Lin, "You still have room for sate?" and she laughed at me and said, "Why? Are we stopping by?" and I replied while the traffic light turned green and Helen turned in, "I dunno... I think we are..." Kekeke... We parked our cars, paid for the parking and walked into the shop entrance and then, Helen said 1 of her Kajang friend is picking us to go to another nicer sate shop. But, by the time we got there, it's closed! No sate!! So near and yet can't eat it.

We checked-in to YL Hotel @ Jalan Semenyih of Taman Jasmine around mid-night before the climb. I didn't sleep much because sharing a room with 3 other ladies may not always be easy *chuckled*. Awake about 4.30am and had a quick breakfast of latte & cappucino-flavoured bread to kick-start myself with lots of caffeine. Short 10~15mins drive from hotel to Broga foothill which is actually an old oil palm plantation. Parking facility is surprisingly at RM2/car but without any guidance and it's superb-dark. Recommended next trip to drive a 4-wheel or Hilux; as rough as possible. It's a challenging hike and managed to only explore the peak of the 1st hill. Heard that there are 4 all together. I'm definitely coming back!! Wanna also make sure the next trip; I'll take a stroll at the Semenyih Lake and campus tour of University of Nottingham and drop by for Sate-Kajang!

One World Hotel, Bandar Utama

Met up with Winnie from Singapore after more than 2 years...
Checked-into Junior Suite Room 909 with SuHui after work around 6pm.
Winnie invited me to spend the night in the Junior Suite too!! So, I did bring along my swimming attires but then, as we were busy catching up, eating pudding that SuHui made and taking photos; it's almost 7pm and time for dinner. Thus, no swimming for me...

We adjourned to Just Thai @ One Utama Mall for dinner. I practically lost my way in the mall... The food we ordered were alright and I especially love the pineapple fried rice; or I should said, it's the one and only non-spicy food ordered. Kekeke... As long Winnie & SuHui can finish it, I'm all delighted! Bills paid by me as I'm the Malaysian *wink*. The agreement would be, Singaporean pays when we visit Singapore and Indonesian pays when we visit Indonesia. Good Deal?!

After dinner, we strolled back to the Hotel lobby and accompany SuHui out of the parking lot. After our goodbyes, Winnie and I headed back to the room for the night.

Kinda bad experience with the shower not having warm water so I had to shower in the bath-tub that doesn't have a long shower-handle and I just had to sit in the tub to wash my hair... Hhmmm... I chosed the day-bed because I wanna let Winnie have the bed for herself. It wasn't exactly a cosy & comfy place to sleep. I love their breakfast so I had to say that I wished I've more time to enjoy it...

"Peacock" Dress

Today marked as an important date in our Lee's calender as it's cousin Ern Ling's wedding. And also, a day to remember for me as I've decided to go with the "peacock" print dress for the church-solemnisation and wedding luncheon. I'm definitely not the bride today but I was really in cloud-9 when more than two people complimented me of being "gorgeous", it's a very powerful word! And I never got it before my entire life... Not trying to be vain but just sharing my enthusiasm.

Plant Miniature Garden

Always amazed with how a living creature can survive in a closed-lid glass container. Give it a try... As for myself... I need to find the right time, the right plant and the right container first...

Magical Musical @ Ampitheathe Sunway Lagoon

Got free tickets from brother to watch the magical musical at Sunway Lagoon's ampitheathe. My first time to enter the Lagoon. We were early and I was also quite lucky to get a free parking outside the shop-lots within very short walking distance of the entrance.

Despite that this event starts at 7pm and the Lagoon is closed for the day, there is a train ride to bring us from the Surf Beach entrance to the Ampitheathe. We were the early bunch of people in the queue but the Lagoon need to make sure all the people inside for the Theme parks to be out first before letting us watching the musical in. Quite a weird system but guessed, system is a system. Just having fun taking snap shots thru the window of the train.

First impression of the Ampitheathre wasn't as bad as I imagine. Even if it rains, there is still a big piece of white canvas to protect us from the rain; provided there is no big wind that comes along; then, I won't dare to imagine whether the audience will get wet or not. But, tonight it's just warm... not a slightest wind other than from the big-fan that is being placed by the side. Many people were late and we were a little bored of waiting... No one offered to take a picture for us even though there is an elderly couple sitting nearby observing us playing with the camera and trying to take a picture of ourselves. Picture came out a bit blurry...

The musical was alright and I like the choreographer dancer tonight. They did a better job than our own locals dancer at West End Side concert. Tonight, I won't exactly want to spend $$ to buy the tickets but the fireworks were the highlight surprise and the glitters were awesome and of course the last part where the drums were very amazing to remember. Too bad; no cameras are allowed tonight. Overall, it's moderate-rating. Nothing to complaint since it's free tickets and I enjoyed myself too.

Button Mushroom Beef Lasagna

Today, I made button mushroom beef lasagna upon request of Fazly. He informed that it's been a while and he felt like having Italian...

Presentation is good but taste wise; he said I lost marks at it for not-being-cheezy enough. Gain marks for the button-mushroom. The top layer was too hard to chew but that's because it's already air to cool & probably the cheese makes it that way. This comparison result versus his own brother that is a professional-chef!

Well, I had a tiring-time grating the Parmesan and I won't be too overwhelm about losing marks over the cheese but this will inspire me to go read-up more about the different types of cheese and how it should taste and how it should be used. So many, parmesan, mozzarella, cheddar, riccota, ....

Conclusion; it's hard to satisfy & impress this heart & taste-bud of his.

LOVE never make sense...

On my birthday, Fazly got me a CD... never heard of Marie Digby but the songs, "Say It Again" and "Umbrella" are no stranger to me.

After opening the wrapper, the first thing came into my mind was "Anna Sui". Kekeke... really love it. Not the songs to begin with... but the appearance of the CD; from the cover to the lyrics-booklet... just love it!

I've been listening to the CD since it's gifted to me... everyday on my way to work and on my way back from work. Somehow, some of her songs make me wanna pick up my "skirt" and dance along the beat. Even was humming the tunes at work in the mornings... I won't go on and on about it... lyrics wise... too much to describe in one word.

2 Missions : Tulips & Hutong 10

On 21st April 2011, I received KLM's newsletter about their Charity Tulip Sale 2011 so I was excited because it's not only a chance to see tulips in Malaysia but at the same time, you get to do charity by buying them for Mother's Day too! With excitement, I got Yen Lin and Sharon Toh to join me. They both agreed delightfully too!

Since, it's at Sg.Wang, I was even more excited because I told myself, "Finally.... I get to go check out Lot 10 Hutong that YTL is promoting endlessly in magazines and whatever media..."

As I was lazy to drive up to KL, I've decided to drive to Klang KTM station with Yen Lin and parked there and we catch the train up to KL Sentral and followed by Monorail to Bukit Bintang. We started our journey at about 10.15am and by the time we reach Sg. Wang is around 11.45am. Well, you can predict the delays causes by KTM train interval of 30minutes each but we were lucky, we do not have to wait too long; just merely 10 minutes.

Upon reaching Sg. Wang, was I in disappointment to find out the size of the tulips when we looked from the upper floor down to Concourse area and the long queue... So, Yen Lin and I decided that we won't wanna waste our day in long queue and Yen Lin said, "I'm sure I'll get a chance to see good tulips in Netherland one day." With the positive mind-set, we left the concourse and hunt for food and we ended up at McD. After brunch, we passed by the concourse area again and by chance, I took a picture with the two person dressed in Netherland costume. I won't know what nationality they are as they probably are just young models.

Sharon supposed to meet us at around 2pm so, Yen Lin and I went to Vincci & UniQlo at Fahrenheit88 first while we wait for her. I bought myself a sunglasses which later, I found out that the shade wasn't very protective of the sun. It's 50/50 of fashion & shade. Kekeke... but, its ok. I didn't get anything from UniQlo because the Care-Bears & One-Piece collection are not out yet.

Met up Sharon shortly after 2pm at Lot 10 and we find our way to Hutong 10... my first impression, "This is Hutong 10?... ohh... ceehh..." Describes as "gourmet heritage food village", so we looked around before deciding on what to eat. Everything seems tempting by it's name. But, I settled for "popiah" at the price of RM6.96 for 2 rolls. In conclusion, nothing to boast about the food. We sat here chit-chatting for a fair bit before we decided to go back to Uniqlo as Yen Lin wanna get the sandals she saw earlier.

We walked around the whole Fahrenheit88 since we are already there rather than later, being called as "tortoise under the shell", nothing much interest us and we just browse thru each shop without going in any. After that, we went to Pavillion as well just to browse thru and settled down at Old-Town Kopitiam to have a drink. I was feeling hungry already so I ordered myself my early-dinner of minced-chicken rice. Too spicy and thank God, I ordered Iced-Chocolate drink.

We finally left Bukit Bintang at around 7.15pm and we spend a long time waiting for train and we missed 1 by 3 minutes. Reached Klang around 9.30pm and the whole trip on Monorail & KTM, we had to stand. It was at Shah Alam stop that I finally get to rest my feet *phew*. Reached home close 10pm after dropping off Sharon & Yen Lin.

Tired but yet fun! It's been a long time I've not done this girlie-outing... ;)

Goat Nan: Pricey & Yucky

On Saturday, mom said the lady that sells the goat's milk at the market didn't come. Must be the long weekends, she went away somewhere...

Last night, we were at 1 Mont Kiara Mall for dinner and before dinner is served, Mom went walking around with Aunty Anne with the kids in order that they will not be reckless when they sit down over dinner too long. When Mom got back, she said she was at Jaya Grocery and she couldn't find any goat's milk on the shelves. Hehehe... she really wants me to continue with the goat's milk intake every single morning.

So, after dinner, I went roaming around and since they decided to go back to Jaya Grocery with my Dad and the rest of the male in the family. I went to look for the goat's milk too. Some little voice in my brains somehow wanted me go "hunting" for it too... not hoping that my Mom was wrong but was hoping I could get another brand to try and it could be cheaper. *grinz* To my amazed, I found it on the non-chiller shelf and its priced at Rm6.99!!! But, it's 240ml. Grab 4 bottles and walked my way out to the casher to pay. First glance, you probably think the product is from Taiwan or Korea but no... it's Buatan Malaysia!

This morning, with an open-mind, after taking my sweet-time to peel the paper-seal. I drank the first mouth. Yuccccckkkkkyyyy.... REGRET big time to purchase 4 bottles 1 short! Ahhhh... so, I'm telling myself... I'm gonna have to tortore myself for the next 3 days with the leftovers. Somehow, this brand is kind of dilluted and that makes me screech my face "eeewwhhh" with the odd taste to it. The only good thing about it will be the glass bottle that I can recycle by growing guppies inside. Kakaka!!
